IL1020 Managing Budgets & Finance
This seminar is intended to prepare instructional leaders to understand HCC’s budget processes and procedures from the Instructional Services point-of-view.

IL1031 Credit Class Scheduling & Faculty Workloads
This seminar is intended to prepare instructional leaders to understand HCC’s policies and processes for scheduling classes.

IL1051 Full/Part-Time Hiring Process, Credentialing, Recruiting
Participants will understand HCC’s policies and processes for recruiting and hiring both full-time and part-time faculty.

IL1060 Conducting Effective Faculty Evaluations That Get Results
Department Chairs will be able to provide ongoing assessment with faculty and staff in an effort to encourage maximum performance by developing clearly defined and realistic short-term and long-term objectives; setting clear and appropriate expectations.

IL1070 WECM is Your Friend - WECM Web Site
Participants will become familiar with the Workforce Education Course Manual (WECM), including the history and structure, an overview of the different types of WECM courses, and a “hands on” introduction of how to search the WECM database.

IL1110 Annual Learning Assessment Report
This session will assist you in properly completing the Annual Learning Assessment Report. Topics to be covered are writing good measurable program student learning outcomes, writing a good assessment plan, analyzing your data, using the data to write a good improvement plan to enhance teaching and learning and documenting the effects the improvement plan had on teaching and learning.

IL1120 CurricuNET
This session is “hands on” as you are guided through the different aspects and content of CurricUNET. It will address how to access the system, update the system, review other colleges, and how to enter curriculum changes for District approval and submission to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board changes.

IL1130 Program Review
This session will assist you in the completion of the Program Review document. It will address all areas such as Mission, Student Success, Curriculum and Instruction, Faculty Development and Evaluation, and Instructional Resources. You will be provided tips on how to write a good summation of the report and suggestions as to how to get colleges involved with completion of the report for those programs that are across the District. The second part of the training will be a “hands on” session on how to use the Dashboard in gathering the data for the report. You will be allowed to actually complete data charts with the assistance of the OIR staff, so bring your flash drive.

IL1140 Annual Planning Report
This session will assist you in the completion of the Annual Planning Report. It will address all areas such as Mission, Student Success, Curriculum and Instruction, Faculty Development and Evaluation, Instructional Resources, and Planning for Improvement. You will be provided tips on how to write a good rationale requesting resources needed for the program and suggestions as to how to get colleges involved with completion of the report for those programs that are across the District. The second part of the training will be a “hands on” session on how to use the Dashboard in gathering the data for the report. You will be allowed to actually complete data charts with the assistance of the OIR staff, so bring your flash drive.

IL2030 Ethical and EEO Issues
Participants will understand the Texas laws regarding conflicts of interest.

IL2050 Basics of Student Services
Participants will become familiar with the HCC philosophy of HCC’s Student Services.
